How to choose and use a log conveyor
Before buying, check your tractor's hydraulic outlets and the height you need to unload at.
1. What it is for
The log conveyor moves firewood and logs from where they are cut or split to the trailer, the pile or the woodshed. It removes manual loading and speeds up firewood preparation, even when working alone.
2. Length and unloading height
The 5 m ramp carries wood up to 3.6 m high: enough to fill a farm trailer or build tall piles. The 4 cm metal cleats, spaced 70 cm apart, drag the pieces along without slipping.
3. Pieces it can carry
Although the belt is 15 cm wide, the shaped ramp carries pieces up to 30 cm in diameter, which always stay lengthways. The cleats can be removed for cleaning and replacement.
4. Connection to the tractor
The hydraulic motor connects to the tractor with 2 hoses 1.5 m long and 1/2″ agricultural couplers; you need 2 hydraulic outlets and a flow of 20–30 l/min at 80–140 bar.
5. Safety
Keep hands and clothing away from the moving belt, set the ramp on stable ground and work with the tractor stationary and the brake applied.

What tractor is needed?
A farm tractor with 2 hydraulic outlets able to deliver 20–30 l/min at 80–140 bar. The connection uses 1/2″ agricultural couplers.
What size of wood does it carry?
Pieces and short logs up to 30 cm in diameter, which stay lengthways along the ramp. It suits both split firewood and round logs.
How high does it unload?
Up to 3.6 m, with a 5 m long ramp: you can fill a farm trailer or build tall piles without lifting the wood by hand.
How is it cleaned and maintained?
The metal cleats are removable, so you can clean the belt and replace any damaged ones; the galvanised frame resists rust even if the conveyor is kept outdoors.
